Portfolio SEO
Organic growth that builds through the hold period.
Each portfolio company gets its own strategy and a 90-day sprint, with reporting that rolls up to the firm.
The portfolio SEO agency top firms trust to build search value.
Growth stops when the ad spend runs out.
Paid channels get a portfolio company to revenue fast, but cost per lead climbs every year, and margins compress right when the hold period needs to show durable growth. Most portfolio companies never build an organic search channel that survives the marketing budget review, so the business enters its exit process having rented every dollar of growth instead of owning any of it.
The usual fix makes the problem worse. Each portfolio company hires its own agency, so the firm ends up with a different methodology and a different report format for every company, and no way to see which companies are tracking to plan.
A working strategy on day one, with a baseline set by week six.
We arrive at kickoff with discovery already done, so there's no ramp-up phase before the real work starts. Technical fixes begin immediately, and priorities get locked in during that first working session instead of over a series of intro calls.
A working strategy session on day one. We bring initial findings on the company's search position and leave with alignment on business priorities and conversion goals.
Technical and analytics audits, entity strategy developed and approved, competitive and AEO gap analysis, content planning aligned to the brand, and a 90-day roadmap reviewed with your team.
The roadmap is approved and the company's performance baseline is set. Bi-weekly calls begin, and the first monthly performance report follows the month after.
Buying rather than onboarding? SEO due diligence runs the same analysis on a target before close, and the findings carry into the roadmap once the deal signs.
Nobody's waiting until the quarter closes to find out how it's going.
Two touchpoints every month and a quarterly deep-dive, with continuous delivery in between.
Monthly Reporting
Performance against baseline and goal pacing for each company, reported the same way every month.
Working Session
Ad hoc questions and strategic alignment while the work is live, so a shift in priorities gets addressed promptly.
Quarterly Business Review
Closes the quarter, sets the next phase of work, and rolls results up to the portfolio level for the firm.
Between Touchpoints
Content production, technical fixes, authority building, and optimization running continuously between calls.
Award-winning strategies, exceptional results.
One relationship covers the portfolio, and each company runs on its own clock.
You set commercial terms once at the firm level, then add companies as you acquire them.

One firm-level relationship
Commercial terms set once, with portfolio companies onboarding on their own schedules rather than one shared start date.
Custom pricing
Priced to what each company needs to hit its growth targets, based on its size, stage, and current search position.
Live dashboards
Leading indicators (rankings, non-branded organic traffic, AI citations, and share of voice) alongside tracked conversion events and organic traffic value for every company.
Portfolio-level reporting
The monthly and quarterly cadence rolls up to the firm, so operating partners see the whole portfolio on one framework.
One measurement standard across every company.
We track KPIs at the sitewide, entity, and target-page level, using the same framework for every company you hold.
Leading indicators like keyword rankings, non-branded organic traffic, AI citations and mentions, and share of voice against competitors show whether visibility is building. Commercial measures like tracked conversion events (verified against your own analytics) and organic traffic value connect that visibility to business outcomes. Because the framework doesn't change from company to company, operating partners get one consistent read on each company's progress against its own plan rather than reconciling different agencies' definitions of the same metric.
Spot the risk before your next hold-period check-in.
Every quarter without action is a quarter a competitor spends building the authority you haven't started on yet. See where a company's search visibility stands today, and where to gain ground first.

Have questions about SEO for private equity?
We have answers.
How do we underwrite search marketing services in the value creation plan?
We run our private equity partnerships on 90-day sprints. Each cycle includes a forecast, available search demand that’s on the table, the traffic and qualified lead volume that represents, and the estimated timeline to growth. Leading indicators (rankings, AI citations) move inside the first sprint. Revenue impact builds over the following quarters, which is why we recommend doing the work within at least a one-year holding period.
What if one of our portcos already has an SEO agency?
That’s common. In that case, we can audit the existing agency’s work and advise operating partners if that campaign is generating durable value.
Often, our PE clients will request we take over for existing agencies so all portco campaigns benefit from the same framework and firm-level reporting structure.
How does organic search value survive exit?
Generating durable value is the focus of our search marketing framework. Rankings, search visibility, topical authority, and the content that builds it, are assets that continue to generate value after the engagement ends. With organic search your buyer is acquiring demand the business owns rather than a paid budget they have to keep funding. We document the program and the search value so it’s diligence-ready at exit.
The companies in our portfolio are at very different growth stages. Does one program fit all of them?
In a word, no. One plan cannot adequately support companies at every stage of their growth. That’s why we offer flexibility within a framework. The framework is shared; the plan isn’t.
Each company gets the same onboarding sequence and measurement standard, then a sprint scoped to its market, site, and growth stage.
What does a portfolio-level partnership with Victorious require from the firm?
We’ll need Analytics and Search Console access, plus the management team in the room for strategy reviews during onboarding.
After that, one or two calls a month per company and a quarterly firm-level review. Our customized reporting is built so the operating partner can read across the portfolio without chasing down a dozen different decks.
