The Challenge
Unboxme’s new first-party website lacked a blog and the resources needed to grow their online presence. Technical issues and subpar mobile usability further hindered their search visibility and user engagement.
The Solution
Victorious developed a content strategy featuring keyword-rich blog posts aligned with audience interests and search trends, alongside resolving technical problems and optimizing Unboxme’s website for mobile.
The Results
A comprehensive content plan and improved technical performance drove a 15,300% increase in page one keywords, with revenue from organic search increasing by 369% year-over-year.
New Website Poses Challenges
Unboxme seeks to deliver joy by making it easy for its customers to show appreciation for the people in their lives with custom and curated gift boxes for every occasion.
Initially offering their gift boxes solely on third-party platforms, Unboxme launched their own website for direct customer purchases. With a goal of attracting more gifters around holidays, they turned to organic search to amplify the launch of their website and promote their gifting solutions.
However, as a relatively new business (founded in 2020), Unboxme didn’t have an established blog or sufficient internal resources to create content, which made it a challenge to grow organic traffic on an already small budget. Additionally, Unboxme’s self-built website faced numerous technical issues and didn’t provide a great experience for mobile users, further hindering the website’s search visibility and engagement.
Optimized Content Takes an Online Presence From Obscure to Outstanding
To boost Unboxme’s customer reach in organic search, Victorious focused on two main goals:
- Improve page positions in SERPs by increasing the volume of ranking keywords.
- Boost revenue from organic searches by attracting more traffic to the site’s conversion points.
Unboxme’s broad audience included anyone seeking gift boxes for various occasions, from employee appreciation to get-well wishes. To connect with this diverse group, we adopted a content-driven strategy, focusing on lower-difficulty long-tail keywords that would resonate with potential customers while building SEO momentum.
Our comprehensive content strategy involved creating search-optimized content for key pages and creating keyword-rich blog posts that aligned with the audience’s interests and search intent. This approach not only expanded Unboxme’s topical authority but also increased organic traffic.
Additionally, we addressed technical issues on Unboxme’s Shopify site that were identified in our audit. Resolving these issues allowed our content to gain ranking momentum. Improving the site’s mobile usability also enhanced user engagement.
As higher rankings for relevant search queries attracted solution-seeking gift-givers and guided them to revenue-generating conversion points on the site, Unboxme achieved a 15,300% increase in page one keywords, 8,008 changes Google position changes, and a more than 4-fold increase in organic search revenue.
The Results
A 15,300% increase in page-one keywords year-over-year.
Optimized content helped Unboxme go from ranking for 3 top ten keywords to ranking for 462 top ten keywords.
A 440% increase in monthly organic traffic.

The Gift That Keeps Giving
Unboxme’s journey to becoming a thriving page-one presence demonstrates how a clear vision, coupled with a well-executed strategy, is essential not just to maintain competitiveness but to become an industry leader. With the right partnership, even new businesses with limited resources can compete with larger players, secure a market stronghold, and achieve substantial online growth.
